Its silky sweet taste is the reason why it will has become indispensable for you. Organically grown ceremonial Matcha is ground only from the youngest, smallest and freshest green tea leaves, with all veins and stems removed, which could give the drink a bitter taste. The higher price of ceremonial Matcha is justified by the attention paid to growing the plant, harvesting, drying and grinding the tea leaves.
We recommend that you drink Ceremonial Matcha without additives such as milk and without sweeteners, as this is the only way you will feel its excellent taste.
Take a moment more to prepare the drink. Take your time and stir it with a traditional bamboo whisk for a good fifteen seconds so that it foams nicely, and eat it warm. The word Matcha comes from Japanese: "ma" means ground, while "cha" means real tea of the highest quality. Matcha is a powdered tea obtained from the green tea plant. The process of producing Matcha is as follows, before harvesting, the plant is covered for at least 3 to 4 weeks so that it grows in the shade and thus preserves chlorophyll, then only the smallest leaves of the first harvest (ceremonial Matcha) are picked, the stems and veins are removed, and they are steam-dried and later manually ground in stone mills. The same process is used to obtain premium Matcha, except that it is a different brew and the leaves are a little larger. All premium Matcha comes exclusively from Japan. The best from the Kyoto-Uji region, where ours is from. All Zen Oasis Matcha comes directly from Japan and is freshly ground on the fly. Zen oasis Matcha also has all quality certificates (you can see them in the certificates tab) and is 100% organic. Zen Oasis Matcha is of premium quality and therefore not bitter!
